Olympic Ramiro belongs in this Hall of Fame because his blood does not end in an old pedigree chart. Through his daughter Davina van het Gonnehof, it continues into Elizabeth Diamond, Maggie May and Bella Ragazza.
A Licensed Son of Ramiro Z
Foaled in Belgium in 1991, Olympic Ramiro was a bay Belgian Warmblood stallion standing approximately 166 cm. His international identification number is 056002W00117706.
He was bred by T. Hendrix and licensed by the Belgian Warmblood studbook. His sire was the internationally influential Ramiro Z, while his dam, Dubonnet 85.3938, was by Voltaire and out of Notre-Dame by Exilio xx.
This placed two major performance influences directly behind him: the Ramiro Z line on the sire side and the Voltaire–Furioso II line through his dam, Dubonnet.
Two Great Performance Families Meet
The Ramiro Z Sire Line
Ramiro Z was an international performer under German Olympic rider Fritz Ligges before becoming one of the most influential sires in European sport-horse breeding. Olympic Ramiro carried that line into the Belgian Warmblood studbook.
The Voltaire Dam Line
Through Dubonnet, Olympic Ramiro also carried Voltaire and Furioso II. This gave him a pedigree built from two families central to modern jumping and performance breeding.
What the Public Records Support
A careful distinction between documented facts and database categories
Public databases agree on Olympic Ramiro's identity, pedigree, height, colour and licensed BWP status. They do not describe his competition record in exactly the same way.
For that reason, this page does not claim that Olympic Ramiro competed at an Olympic Games or a named World Championship. The phrase “Olympic/World Championships 1.70 m” is presented only as SporthorseData's database classification, not as proof of a particular championship appearance.
A Breeding Record Larger Than One Result
Olympic Ramiro's long-term importance is most clearly seen through his offspring. SporthorseData currently records 95 offspring, with 26 appearing in sport records.
Those figures should be read as the contents of that database rather than a complete lifetime total. Even so, they show his influence reaching both jumping and dressage families.
Database totals can be incomplete and may change when further horses or results are added.
His Greatest Legacy at Warmblood Horse Sales
From a historic sire line into a living family
Olympic Ramiro is not included merely because he was a son of Ramiro Z. His place is direct and documented: he sired Davina van het Gonnehof, the mare who produced Elizabeth Diamond and Maggie May by Noah.

Why Olympic Ramiro Belongs Here
The purpose of this Hall of Fame is not to collect every celebrated sport horse. Each page must lead back to the blood carried by the horses at Warmblood Horse Sales.
Olympic Ramiro passes that test completely. His sire was Ramiro Z. His dam was Dubonnet by Voltaire. His daughter was Davina van het Gonnehof. His granddaughters are Elizabeth Diamond and Maggie May, and his maternal line has already reached another generation through Bella Ragazza.
That makes him more than an old name in a pedigree. He is one of the bridges through which European performance blood reached the family living on the yard today.
“Some stallions are remembered by a single victory. Others are remembered every time their daughters carry the bloodline into another generation.”

The wording on this page is original. Where public databases differ, their claims have been attributed separately rather than silently combined. No named Olympic Games, World Championship, Nations Cup or rider has been claimed for Olympic Ramiro without supporting evidence.
